Dorelbury has provided high quality and exceptional building services to local councils, government authorities, developers and private clients for over 40 years.
Dorelbury was founded in 1980 by Former Managing Director Rodney Fitzgerald, along with original board members Arthur Leat and Danny Poulter, it started life from humble beginnings…namely a cow shed in Stubbington.
Rodney achieved over 50 years’ experience in the Construction Industry having first trained as a Carpenter and Joiner at age of 14. Ever the Entrepreneur.
Rodney’s vision for the company and the quality service provided by his team meant the company quickly grew, with large amounts of work commissioned by Hampshire County and Southampton City Councils building Dorelbury’s reputation across the South to deliver high quality projects that are completed on time and on budget.
Under Rodney’s direction over the last three and a half decades the company went from strength to strength and now has an enviable portfolio of clients (as well as a much nicer office in Segensworth).
Rodney Fitzgerald who retired in January 2019 has handed over his great wisdom and vision to his fellow Directors Mick Dunn and Richard Young, both of whom started with the company some 20 years ago as apprentices and they are committed to continue his acumen and philosophies.
